From Kari Weldon
The magnificence
of God’s glory shone all around the small man as he was ushered into
the courts of heaven. His eyes feasted on what could only be his
exalted Lord, high and lifted up upon His throne. The holiness of
God sent this man on his knees in humility and utter uselessness. As
the thunderous roar of praises echoed throughout the realm, the
voice of God penetrated all other sounds: "Whom shall I send? Who
will go for us?" Isaiah’s response rose, "Here am I! Send me!" |

At the age of fifteen, the Lord used this account of
Isaiah 6 to challenge my heart concerning the ministry of missions.
Just as Isaiah stepped forward in wholehearted willingness to serve,
I, too, had surrendered to God, "Send me!" After working at
Regeneration for almost a year, the Lord has laid before me the next
step of His will for my life as a full time staff member in His plan
to "Go and tell this people." I praise the Lord for the opportunity
to serve with the already present staff in the effort of spreading
the truth of God’s Word among the Apache people.
The monsoon season has
come, bringing dark, foreboding clouds each day. Sometimes they
bring rain; other times, they bring wind. Often, all around the
threat of a storm hangs over us, only to result in a still, pressing
humidity. As diverse as this season is, so my work here is
described. It is a privilege to allow God to use me in whatever task
possible to further His work. I serve as teacher to the Murphy
children, Junior church teacher, janitor, and assistant to Mrs.
Murphy. Outreach opportunities arise as I assist Ann Murphy on
visitation and jail ministry. My greatest blessing is the
opportunity to build relationships with the children and their
families through Bible Clubs and Friday night children’s ministries.
My desire is that of
Paul’s for the Colossian believers, "that ye might walk worthy of
the Lord unto all pleasing" (Col. 1:10). I do not know how long my
Lord would have me to work here, but I know I shall stay until He
leads me away. Please pray that I will fulfill Colossians 1:9-12 in
my life as I serve here "to set at liberty those that are bruised"
(Luke 4:18). |
