What we
believe about... |
 |
The Bible:
We believe the Bible to be the inerrant, inspired Word
of God and the final authority in faith and life (II
Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:21). |
|
What we believe about...
|
 |
The Godhead:
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three
persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19, II
Corinthians 13:14, Matthew 3:16-17, Hebrews 1:8, Isaiah
45:22). |
|
What we believe about...
|
 |
Jesus
Christ:
We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ - His virgin
birth, sinless life, atoning death, and bodily
resurrection from the grave (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew
1:18-25, 28:1-10, I Corinthians 15, Romans 1:4, II
Corinthians 5:21, Romans 4:24-25). |
|
What we believe about...
|
 |
Sin:
We believe that all men inherit a depraved nature and
are lost sinners in need of salvation (Romans 3:9-19,
Ephesians 2:1-3). |
|
What we believe about...
|
 |
Salvation:
We believe that God provided salvation through offering
His Son on the cross of Calvary, and allowed His blood
to be shed to atone for our sins (Romans 3:25, Hebrews
9:22). We believe the we are saved and justified when we
recognize ourselves as sinners, and we put our trust in
Christ as the Son of God and His finished work on the
cross of Calvary. Salvation is by grace through faith
plus nothing (Romans 3:24, 4:5, Ephesians 2:8-9).

|
What we believe about...
|
 |
The
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit takes place at
the time of conversion and is the act of placing the
believer into the body of Christ. The baptism of the
Holy Spirit is not a second work of grace, nor is it
manifested by unusual signs such as speaking in tongues
(I Corinthians 12:13, Galatians 3:27). |
|
What we believe about...
|
 |
Eternal
Security of the Believer:
We believe in the eternal security of the believer; that
it is impossible for one born into the family of God
ever to be lost (Philippians 1:6, John 10:27-29, Romans
8:38-39). |
|
What we believe about...
|
 |
Return
of Christ
We believe in the pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ
to this earth
(I Thessalonians 4:13-28). |
|
What we believe about...
|
 |
The
Resurrection:
We believe in the bodily resurrection and judgment of
all men; believers being resurrected to enjoy eternal
life with God; unbelievers being resurrected to eternal
suffering apart from God (Ephesians 2:7, John 4:14,
5:24, Revelation 20:15, Matthew 25:46, John 5:28-29).
|
|
What we believe about...
|
 |
Separation:
We believe in taking a separated stand from the world,
ecumenical groups (such as the World Council of
Churches), cults the charismatic movement, secret
organizations (such as the Masons), and any convention
or association that permits apostasy (II Corinthians
6:14-18, Romans 1:1, II Thessalonians 3:14, Romans
6:17). |
|
What we believe about...
|
 |
The Local Church:
We believe in the local church as God's plan for the
evangelization of the lost and the edification of the
saints; we believe in practicing two ordinances given to
the church: Baptism by immersion (Acts 2:41, 19:5, Acts
8:38-39, Matthew 28:19-20) and the Lord's Supper (I
Corinthians 11:23-32). |
